Jade Wall—the opening artwork of Phạm Minh Hiếu: Như thể là (Quasi)—set up in the atrium of AGOhub, “was conceived for the site, built on the site, had become an integral part of the site, [thus] altered the very nature of the site.”
Solution providers and material suppliers in partnership with AGOhub were invited to contribute images of their materials to be transformed as the matter of the artwork. To quote the artist:
“Matter, inherently indeterminate, is material when used by mankind. The artwork therefore meditates on the dual concepts of ‘natural’ and ‘artificial’, and is an experiment in expressing reality from the conceptual ground of ‘matter,’ ‘material’ and its mattering.”

About
The artwork utilized projection mapping technology. During the course of 10 days, every activity in the building was carried on as usual. In an effort to intervene into the individual lives of each of its contributing constituents,
Jade Wall is an intricate network—an ever-changing multiplicity weaving itself from the participation of the artist, the audience, the building and all associates.
